I always liked the CB750/900/1100 range of bikes with the euro styling, very muscluar and as ridden by Fast Freddie 8).

A close family friend had a Velo Thruxton back in 78/79 and he traded it in for a CB900F in silver. It must have been one of the first ones as he had to wait a while for it. He was thinking about a CBX but it was too expensive so he 'settled' for the CB900F. Not long after buying it he asked me to go with him to exchange a PTO for a tractor. I carried it in a big old rucksack and it was really heavy. I was pillion and aged 18. We came to a set of lights on the three lane A40 at Perivale. He was filtering and I was looking around, the lights changed to green and he gave it a big handful but I wasn't looking ahead. I was pulled backwards by the weight of the PTO in the rucksack andnext thing my feet were level with his head and I was hanging on for dear life and expecting to be dumped off the back! Next thing he gave it a handful of front brake and I went flying into the back of him with all the initia of the PTO behind me and with such force the bike wobbled over the road! Happy days ;D.

I’ve a 75 in boxes you can have Dave, loads of spares but if I don’t shift it in the next three weeks it’s off in a skip sadly.
Boxes of spares, no wheels or pipes or tank.

Big old bus but they do look great! I had a 900 for a couple of years but found it too heavy to move around easily so I didn't keep it. I sometimes think a Superdream- sized one but with a decent engine would give the euro-styling but without so so much weight.

Nooooooo Roo, stop tempting me  :o. I already have too many bikes and haven't even seen the VFR400R I bought 3 months ago as I don't have the room to keep it :-\. Luckily Chas Mortimer is looking after it for me until I get the TL finished (finished, it's hardly started ::)).  Speaking of TL's and toolboxes.......don't forget I owe you 8)

...if anyone here bought it I'm sure I have a set of brake discs and also axles and spacers in the garage. I had wheels too, but they've gone now.

I’m not selling it, I’m giving it away to a good home, I’m moving and has to be gone……sadly!

It’s new home or sacrifice to the scrap gods. It kills me but I’m out of options and I don’t think I’ll ever build it so rock and a hard place really. Being very grown up about it though
