Advance springs
« on: July 22, 2025, 11:35:45 AM »
Here's one for the experts, are cb550 advance springs the same part as cb750 from an advance stamped 333? I believe they both have 9 coils so that seems to match as mine have been trimmed to 8, and one at 7 coils which means my advance isn't gradually but snaps in rapidly, revs jumping past 3k straight to 4k.  The mechanism has been cleaned and lubricated.

The 333 advance unit is 350/400 four not 750 so somebody in the past has swopped it.
It is possible that springs from the same unit manufacturer may be the same as they will be bought in parts but who knows
