That’s interesting this should just come up - I’m just about to start the process of re-painting my 75 CB400F the “Light Ruby Red”. Searching through the previous forums & information it seems that Honda “Milano” Red is a close match - I’ve just bought a touch up can of this to do some comparisons. General consensus it’s a one step colour rather than vase coat/top coat process - can anyone confirm maybe?

Yes. I sprayed mine with rattlecans, just primer then Honda Milano Red topcoat finished with petrol resistant clearcoat. Not a professional job but the colour is good.

When I took the tank from Ratty to be painted I took with my my original Parakett Yellow tank to get a close match.  The painter and I went through a lot of yellow swatches and eventually settled on Chevrolet Yellow as the colour to use.
Have you removed all the paint from your red tank? If you have left any paint on the underside ths will provide an excellent colour match as it will likely be original and it will not have been bleeched by sunlight.

Many thanks for help/advice.
Will go with Milano Red as a near match.
Painting tank and Side Panels so all should be good.
Would anyone recommend getting the Tank lacquered after fitting of Decals.
My Fuel Tank has previously been painted, Decals not lacquered over, no issues with them peeling.
Thanks again.
