Is this part Genuine New Old Stock?
« on: February 01, 2026, 10:31:13 AM »
This is being advertised on Ebay as Genuine New Old Stock, however, the box says Made in China.

Did Honda have parts made in China in the 1970's?

The advert wording is a bit crypic saying that the pics form part of the description. The part looks good though, so i'm a bit confused by the box and want to make sure i'm not being scammed.

Parts are made in many different countries for Honda. Even though they are saying it's  NOS, it's not 50+ year old NOS as it has a bar code. It could be 20 years old and still NOS

Probably a genuine Honda kill switch, the production of many older model genuine spare parts which are still in demand are farmed out to engineering companies in China and Thailand.

My recently purchased F1 front mudguard and alternator cover were genuine Honda parts made in Thailand.
