Airbox rubber Seal
« on: February 08, 2026, 04:16:58 PM »
Hello all,
At the point of putting carbs back on after rebuild and finding more to do of course..

I'm looking for a replacement rubber seal that goes between the 2 black main airbox parts, can anyone point me in the right direction please ?

The main box not the air filter itself

I can't see it on the David Silver or cmsnl drawings...

 :)

Could a part cut out of a pedalbike's inner tube help you?

IIRC the seal used to clip onto the rim of the plenum chamber. It’s like the letter U. Honda used a very similar sort of seal on the edge of the seat pan to stop the pan from cutting into the cover. Surely something similar can be found online. Other that that some stick on foam should do the job, it’s only stopping any unfiltered air from getting into the intake.

You could try using fuel tubing,
Slit it open, the see how it fits,

Might need to experiment with different sizes
