Nice work John.

What a cracking little bike it is. They are quite quick too, power and light weight makes a nifty  bike. A friend had a gold one many years ago, this one more Jimmy Hendrix Purple  ;D

It is quick and nimble

About 10% more power than my CB200, And at lower revs

A lot lighter as well

Only slight marks on the fork tubes

Will see what happens with new seals

Thanks all,

It's quite addictive

Did about 60 miles,

Seat hard,numb bum!!

Interesting to compare with the CB200

At about 60 ish,the Cb is running nearly 7k rpm
The Yam about 1,000 rpm less,

Although I was riding gently,

It seems very happy at about 6k ,about 65mph indicated,

On a very light throttle,

Not sorted the fuel consumption, but impression is not as good as the CB

Both easy to ride, the CB seems heavier than the Yam,

Same size

Different styles

Don't think the Yam build quality is a good as Honda

Nice to get out and make some smoke! Lovely little runabout, looks like you’re still getting nice weather too. We are dodging the showers a bit here at the moment, long way from a hose pipe ban anyway!😂

Interesting comparisons between the two bikes John. I guess the Honda being a 4 stroke will be heavier. I guess fuel consumption would also be far superior to the Yam?
Honda build quality is legendary, I'm finding out just how good it is on the NC30 build👍.

Yes, the CS5 is lighter, very nimble, has about 10% more power than the CB200,

But, I nearly ran out of petrol yesterday,

It has the slim US tank, only enough for 80miles ,

It seems to do about 50mpg,same as the 500

Just replaced the front brake shoes,so bedding those in,

Mate of mine had the later coffin tank RD200. That certainly picked up it's skirt and went!!

Enjoy.
