Just replaced stanchions this afternoon with some nos ones have had for a while, Made the mistake of looking in 3 different manuals at amount of oil and guess what they all vary. Can you help with cc's for an F1 please. sure have normally used about 215cc ?
Also noticed the one oil lock had 2 quite bad grooves at the top I would presume this is from a previous ham fist and not from the rebound spring. Have replaced lucky had a couple knocking about.

I think 215cc is a bit much, I beleive it is 150ml for an F1, bit less if refilling after an oil change, will check that tonight to make sure my memory hasn't played tricks

Hi there, I've just checked my CB750F Supplement and it states 145-155cc.

Cheers to all, just looked through books again now I am confoooosed Haynes 220-230. Clymer 207-213, 160-162,
Shop 220-230, I would say these may be for dry fill which is what mine are,
The oil lock is the small hollow bush where the rebound spring sits at bottom of lower fork leg.It looks like a top hat with a hole through it I may have the wrong name would normally call it the thingy at the bottom when discussing in shed.

Here's the Specs section from the supplement that Honda issued for the CB750F.
The Honda manual for the original CB750 gives a figure of 220-230 cc, but the forks are different to the CB750F ones.

I can see where the confusion comes from, I looked at the specs in a few of my genuine Honda manuals (not Clymer or Haynes) and got the following
CB750 (Original CB750): 220 - 230cc
CB750K2, K3, K4: 220 - 230cc from dry, 155 - 160 after draining.
CB750F: 145 - 155cc
CB750F2: 1977 145 - 155cc
CB750F2 and K8: 135 - 145cc from dry and 145 - 155 after draining.

Hi,
I am just about to change the fork oil in my 1976 K6.
Am I correct in thinking it is 220 - 230cc from dry, 155 - 160 after draining?

Think the forks were basically the same until the F1 so yes you are correct, F1 and F2 as quoted above, not sure about K7 but I assume same as F1
