CB750F1 CARBURETOR

Hi There

This is my first go at sending a message of help to this forum.
I was changing the jets on the carburetors and broke one of the cast pins that holds the float in place. Can any one tell me if this can be fixed also where can i get hold of a replacement (old or new) as david silver said this part 16104-392-004 assy d is discontinued.
The bike is a honda CB750F1 1976 if i cant get the part fixed or replaced the bike is doomed.

Hi Brian and welcome to the forum, i'm not sure about getting the float post repaired but you can pick up spare carbs etc on ebay 

autojumbles etc, also put a add in the wanted section cheers Mick.

Hi Brian welcome aboard, dont despair, carbs for these bikes are always coming up on ebay you could probably find a good set for less than one hundred quid

Did exactly the same thing on my F1 during the rebuild  my carbs were found to be so gummed up with what looked and felt like sandstone that the decision to replace them was easy, I would go the e-bay route. However, for interest, and in case you don't find any for a while I did post on the US site and apparently some have had some success using an epoxy like JB Weld. Its not a stressed part really ( till you try and remove the pin  ) so its only a matter of whether fuel will affect it, apparently its OK. Could be worth a try if you are stuck. Would keep an eye on it though

Broke one years ago and glued it back on with Araldite, worked a treat.
