Leaky tank

I took off my carbs today to finally clean the emulsion tubes and an hour later job done.but then i discovered this.damn it.bottom left corner of the tank is starting to leak.

Ii had a leak in my Kawasaki S3 tank a tiny pin hole so I used POR 15, it has worked great. I did it 12 months ago and it is holding up ok.

I used Petseal about 2 years ago.will give it another go

Don't use petseal it brakes down because of the methanol in the fuel

Are you repainting the tank? My old S1 got a leak and I brazed it.

No shouldn't have to because the chrome strip should hide any marks.gonna give that por 15 a go.
But if it needs painted it wont be a big deal.

  my velo had a four inch crack in it [and I mean a proper crack] was told by an old boy use araldite, I was very sceptical to say the least but that was two years ago and no probs. trick is leave at least a week to go rock hard [ two would be better] then rub it down for paint. you cant even see it on mine.

Or do u think theyre tryin it on to sell more products.

What are you going to do with that? You can not fix a leak with a tin of paint. Get the tank brazed, and then paint it.
