The ad seems a bit strange as he only has one. These are the same as DSS and you have to grind them. Still prefer to get them re-chromed.

Got mine from Yamiya & they  Japanese made,  not Italian like DSS ones. £170 from Saisei.

Not sure Graham, they are still in the packaging but DS wouldn't give me any tech spec on the Italian ones he sells and I know Pete had problems with them like you describe. DSS are very good on returns but a bit stingy on giving out tech specs. I did ask Yamiya if their stanchions are made in Japan before purchase and they told me that they are. My original K0 stanchions were a bit too moth eaten at the top to have hard chromed by Philpots (whose finish is far better and durable than any OEM stanchions I have ever seen !)  David at Saisei says that Yamiya/PMC are very good on returns and after-sale service. I always feel that David at Saisei is prepared to go 'that extra mile' for us. Honda should let him sell Genuine Parts direct to us and then we wouldn't need to have to resort to Germany to get a decent deal on Genuine  parts.

Looked at the Yamiya CB750K0 fork stanchions tonight  and they are NOT chromed at the bottom Graham.  :)
