Fitted a new tax disc holder and disc today. It's amazing how cheap tax disc holders are lately.

When I was up in the North East in the 70's it's rumoured people used to use the label off a Newcastle Brown Ale bottle instead of a tax disc

That was no rumour mate, also guiness but then the colour started changing more often on the discs

I couldn't wait to take mine off my XJR, IMO they look ugly wherever you fit them, I can see the point of keeping one on a classic though, maybe with the bikes first tax disc in it?.

Pretty sure I have one from 1979 in the back of my tax disc holder. Better keep it nice I guess...
