How easy is it to drill discs, i have a pillar drill, is there any particular bit i need ?

I used a cobalt bit and plenty of cutting paste.
1 bit drilled 2 discs with no problem

I used hss.
The disc will be a fair bit harder on the outside.
What pillar drill do you have and do you have a rotary table?

You can bring it down and do it in the Bridgeport and rotary table if you want

Now thats an offer you cant refuse!
My drill has a rotating round table and very low speed ability. I wouldnt want to do one without being able to accurately rotate the disc somehow.

If anyone wants to swap drilled disc from a bike I am restoring for undrilled one to make bike standard let me know ! Need to pick up bike first though to make sure it's Ok

Ash, I wouldn't mind swapping discs. Not sure on parentage though so here is a picture. An early 750 to my knowledge.
