I keep seeing people looking for a new winter project. Well I've just been out to the garage intending to fit some new coils on the 350 and "Sod that for a game of soldiers" its bl***y freezing. I'm now looking for the next summer project.

Yes, I've seen lots of ads for 'ideal winter project' I think making a big fallen tree (not many of those in Orkney) fit our wood burner by chopping wood might be my idea of such a project. I wonder if the ads marked 'unfinished project' are caused by the first ads. That said, I am doing a few jobs in the Workshop and have just successfully stopped a myriad small air leaks on my compressor as I got fed up with it starting up so often and even turned over the disc valves for another 40 years abuse - should see me out!

I run one of those things in the shop
http://www.ebay.at/itm/Heizlufter-9-kW-Bauheizer-Industrie-Heizgerat-Elektroheizer-Heizung-9000-W-/121474557440?hash=item1c4872a600:g:xzcAAOSwSHZWb~7h
keeping it to reasonable 15~18°C but probably still go unconscious when the electrical bill hits...
Would like to have a split-type heat-pump a/c there, but no space the outdoor unit (yet)...

Infrared heaters are my savior. I have 3 off them in my workshop and one in my garage. Instant heat when you want it, no wasted hot air going through the roof.
