I’ve used POR15 in the past with great success, as above preparation is key. Even though you’ve already cleaned it I would do the process again to ensure you move any rust that may have developed.
I had some POR leftover in the tin and when it’s gone off it’s absolutely rock solid.
For the de rusting process used Flowliner Bio rust instead of the one in POR15’s system.
POR does seal pin holes but depending on where the hole is if needed you could add a bit of structure to held the liner seal with something like JB Weld tankweld. It’s function in this senario is purely to contain the liner whilst it goes off.

Loves finding a patch of sun in the garden and sunbathing. 14 years old now, unfortunately old age catching with with her, like the rest us she’s in denial.

(Attachment Link)
Apologies Ash, you’re correct it was 53235-300-000 that I ordered.

Funny this should come up. A few weeks back I noticed that there seemed to a quite a large gap in the yoke where the pinch bolts pass through, I looked at the parts list for mine (1975 550 K1), and it showed the D washer 38205-323-000, I’ve ordered but still waiting on delivery.

Send them to Matt Harper at Harper Ultrasonics. I could be wrong but I think Gerben may have retired.

Thanks Julie, just down the road from me. I’ll certainly given him a call.

Just bring this back up to see if anyone has any recommendations.
Mine, where supposedly done by the previous owner however it’s leaking from one of the bowels along with the suspect plumbing and a few other things leads be to think they’ll likely benefit from being done, that way I know they’ll have been done correctly.
Unfortunately I’m also in the middle of building work which I’m doing myself so have little time and space to tackle it myself, hence looking for recommendations.
There’s a few advertise on ebay, Greben being one but having read some posts on here possibly one to avoid?

Hi Steve, no idea but looking at it I guess it’s something that could be 3D printed.

I’m looking for a spare fuse holder part number 38205-323-000, I believe it came on a few different models; CB500K0 CB500K1 CB500K2 XL175 XL175K1 XL175K2 XL250K0 And goldwings, GL1000a I’ve found a few for sale in the US but they want a ridiculous amount for postage. A long shot, but someone may have one.

Same here, I can imagine it’s caused a few headaches for someone to resolve this week.
Well done that person.

Is the title a mistake? When I had a CB750, the speedo read higher than 120MPH, and the red line on the rev counter was at 8,oooRPM
No idea TBH, going off what I was told when I bought the bike they where fitted to so, if someone knows otherwise the happy to be corrected.

Something is connected wrong then
I’ve just unconnected the gauges and re-plugged the originals back in from that point all looks correct, but maybe something not right elsewhere. I’ll have another look inside the headlight tomorrow.

Hi Bryan,
It has the ‘always on lights’ year of manufacture is 11/74. There appears to be no live at brown with white stripe which I suspect is the issue, just not sure where that goes back to.
Edit: Mystery solved!
So being US you need to have the switch for always on indicators ‘on’, which it a pain as the indicators are always illuminated if you want the clock lights on.

Sorry I'm not familiar with your 550 layout, clearly different to my 500 K1.
No need to apologise, any advice or thoughts welcome. Interestingly I’ve just bridged from that spare ignition live to the brown and white and still no joy
