gearbox cover
« on: July 27, 2019, 07:12:50 PM »
Can anyone tell me the size of the bolts which fasten the gearbox cover.
I have some stripped threads in the casing it attaches to and can think of two options.
1. order a helicoil kit. (size)
2. use a thread fixing compound such as loctite forma thread (any one used this with any success?)
Thanks for any replies/advice.

M6 x 1 for helicoils, forget thread lock, it gets hot and gets a lot of oil and vibration!

You will need a V coil kit. Don't buy cheap micky mouse ones  ;)
