« on: July 24, 2021, 08:33:04 PM »
Hi
Can anyone advise me at what mileage I should change the oil and filter when running in a fully rebuilt engine.
Thanks in advance

We change ours every 1000 miles or once a year, whichever comes sooner. Regular oil changes are vital.

In the Owner's Manual it is once every 3000km and for the filter every second time you change the oil. I've always sticked to that (over 42 years) and - because I avoid short rides and therefor never had any acid develop - it's every two years for the oil.

UK manual says 1500 miles and 3000 but personaly i wont put clean oil through a dirty filter and nowadays not may of us do 1500 miles in a year on our toys so the anual bit comes first

Yearly for me, oil and filter, the cost is minimal, and the benefits are big in my opinion.

Cheers
