got a set of gauges for balancing the carbs, the problem is that the manual says  the reading should read 14-24 Hg, but my gauges read in bar's, has anybody overcome this problem, help appreciated. ???

I belive the readings all being equal is more inportant then the figure they are at. The manuals normally have a section at the rear with conversion charts for various units of measurement.
Got a 500/4 with rust and a sidecar and loadsa bits. nice and original and been round the clock

Matthew's reply is the important one.

It doesn't really matter what the dials read, it is the balance that is important.
