I never mentioned Trademark It will be under Patent and copyright law . As i have already mentioned, Honda have lots of parts under patent laws in the UK including Bearings, decals and many, many other parts that don't have the word Honda on them I have a Business lawyer that specialises in patent and Copyrights for a reason. You can not even have crank cases made in the UK that are registered by Honda, When i was doing loads of crank case repairs i looked in to it.
When I was in the car trade circa 1978/9 I worked for a Mitsubishi Dealer (marketed at the time as Colt) in Derby who also specialised in used BMW's. There was no BMW dealer in Derby at that time so selling late used BMW's was a good move as there was a large demand. In the used car section of the showroom we had an illuminated genuine used BMW sign & our adverts in the local paper would show the BMW logo at the top of our cars for sale listings. All went well until we had a stop & desist letter from BMW legal department giving us a time limit to remove the sign & stop using the BMW logo in our adverts. After legal advice the sign was removed and the used cars for sale no longer showed the logo - we could use the BMW letter for model descriptions only.
