Brain picking required :-)
« on: December 10, 2013, 09:53:29 AM »
Quick question from a noob here as I want to make sure that my info is correct with regards to the main parts of my project here, namely the engines, frame and to some degree some of the other spares.

The engine numbers I have here are:

CB750E - 1040... (Is this a K0?)
CB750E - 1109...(is this a K1?) - this engine also has LEG stamped above the main number
CB750E - 2547... (Is this a K7?)

The frame number is CB750 - 1092.... (Is this a K1?)
I also have a few forks/fork legs, two of which I believe are K1 and two K7 (K1 on the right and K7 on the left of pic).

Am I right in thinking all the main engine parts will fit from K1 - K7 such as pistons etc, etc?

Cheers all

Craig

Cheers Mick, this kind of links to the stuff I found on the chopper and cafe racer sites that Google turned up and they all seem to point to me having a K0 and K1 engine as well as K1 frame. The last engine I have is a bit of a mystery though as the K6 info in the link above stops some way short of the 254 engine number I have here.

I'm presuming the numbers continued in the 254 vein up until the 3000 for the K7 so can only assume I've got a K6 engine here.
