Looks very good for a 44 year old, light restoration preserving patina or full blown restore planned?

Just cleaning / servicing / recommissioning as it's too original to restore imho. #3 pipe is badly rotted at the downpipe / silencer junction so the pipes may be beyond economical repair. Luckily I had a set of decent hm300's on another bike that I've kept for this one.

Glad you said that James, so much nicer to see a light restoration (whenever possible), I saw this Indian at a recent show, I mean it's terrific but IMO would have been so much nicer if it had retained some of it's 80 years of patina, the other photo shows a couple of older models that are probably beyond saving though.

Thanks guys. Won't be much  progress for a few weeks yet, other than a light mist of acf50 to keep the corrosion at bay. J

Nice one James. Looks totally unmolested. Nice mirrors with PAT no. on Interesting it does not have wrinkle tank but definitely looks original. Mines was the same (Oct 69) and I am convinced the tank is original. Have you put a magnet near the filler cap to see if it's Antimon (pot-metal, Mickey Mouse metal bla blah or steel?

Cheers ... Ash

Wouldn't have thought a 'Jan 70 manufacture  K0 was a later one Pete?

Go back to the first post and edit the title - that is the phrase that is picked up by the forum software.

I've just done this with my 500/4 K0/K1 thread.
