Thought the original bushes were plastic.
You probably have the HONDA shop manual already  Julie .... but just in case or for others I bunged in into Dropbox here below:-
Got my knuckles wrapped last night by Bitsa for mentioning rubber tubes again .. so sorry for that  :-[

Cheers .. AshD
Yes Ash, I did see the rubber tube banter  ;D. I was showing it to some of my staff at work last night, they understand fully mens fetishes about rubber, it's no different to us girls having fetishes about Firemen or farmers in wellie boots, it's the rubber that does it for us too  :-* :-* (I think Bitsa has led a sheltered life !!!)

I think we should have more woman on the forum and i love to see more woman out on bike's. A woman that rides a bike and gets her hands dirty is on the top of my OK list.
Have had two woman apprentice engineers in my company and both were diamond girls.

With you on that one Trig so say we all :D In my biker days if you could find one that did not mind getting dirty they were always on the back not driving.Poxy scooters I blame for that and I used to fix the bloody things.

Girls and bikes together are cool. Obviously as passengers they are decorative and precious cargo that you win over with your skillful riding  ::)

Saw a girl on a Harley the other day. Not my choice of iron but she was fully into the sub culture down to the ray ban aviators. Girls on 400/Fs look much cooler though. Erm YouTube  :P

All I mentioned was a bit of rubber tube and  a good potential source for it for  Gawds sake!  When I was a kid and the local chemists twigged that the Potassium Nitrate I used to buy from them was not 'For my dad's garden, miss', a friendly nurse stepped in and got me Potassium Permanganate instead, as the hospital used it for treating old bod's feet or something. The 'flowers of sulphur' and charcoal were readily available, so no worries there. Problem was that the Pot. Permanganate made an unholy purple mess everywhere so I was quickly banned from using that too  ::)

I bet Julie had dealt with much worse banter than she gets on here. We all get a bit of banter chucked at us on here male or femail. Some bug*er on here even accused poor old Ashimoto of being a mad scientist type  :(    ..... Must dash there's thunder and lightening predicted and I have a tall fella in my gararge who needs a fix and I could do with the bolts back I used in his neck, cos I need em to hold on my HM300's  ;D

That's another great point about the 400/4, it was ideally suited to girls as well as boys. There are quite a few females with 400/s who post on DS's FB site. why did Honda have to replace it with the ugly piece of crap the 400T?
