Throttle command
« on: November 14, 2014, 06:39:32 PM »
Hello, I am looking to purchase a dual/twin throttle control for my cb750.
Ideally I would go for a Tomaselli domino as I have this mounted on another bike and i find it ok. Unfortunately budget restrictions apply.
I have come across the Doherty 77 replica but it's so cheap that I am a bit hesitant.
Anyone has used this or have some feedback to share.
Thanks

Are you talking of a twin cable push pull throttle or something else?

Thanks for the offer but I have the same, just wanted to replace it with a twist grip only.

Don't know if they are the same but Doherty did make twist-grips for moto-x bikes years ago, they were fairly basic but also seemed quite tough and worked ok.

Just to say that the Doherty type twin pull, (that i have) pulls both cable to the same direction, Infact I can only use with 1 cable. I'm not sure this should be the case.

Presumably yours looks something like this, which is intended for use on twin carburettor machines with a separate cable for each carb.

The VTR1000 twistgrip body will work with the standard grip, and give you what you need, plus its all Honda and will look factory.

Nice, the VTR one looks very nice,  shame I didn't see it before. I'll think of it when/if i need to replace the Doherty type.
Thanks
