Honda did sell a version of that hideous pile of shite over here, in several different capacities, even a 125 version I seem to recall. They certainly sold very few of the 750 Shitehawk over here, my good lady has a 650 Shitehawk (only because of the low seat, she's a shortarse!), then there were the CM 250/400 (vomit smiley needed Steve!) and of course, the CX based SilverWing, the CX was ugly (long lasting engine though) but jesus, what were Honda thinking calling it that?
Would much rather have a CX than a blue and white megga camp Nighthawk. Come to think of it, I think I would rather walk. If you were going to scrap it, you would have to do it at the dead of night so nobody saw you.
I bought this one new. I think in 1982 (Y Reg.). It was a great bike. I uprated the preload and fork oil. Fitted K&N pod filter, Alfa 21 pipe and up-jetted the carbs. I could burn off most my mates bikes on the straight and round corners. I think it was 120mph on the clock and handled better than the Plastic Maggot. Completely reliable too.
