Back in the day I ran a number of Renaults. Very ugly as the 16 version but liked the 17 coupe. Engines were pokey for the day and reliable - whilst I rarely remember any servicing! However when the bodywork  rotted out it didn't matter if the engine ran!

Just actually had that situation on a Honda accord Estate. After initial enquiry by Ebay email. Reply was -
" For a friend / hearing isues don't ring / email etc. "

The  vehicle had little info about it and was cheap but not rediculously so. Unfortunately  went  and replied by email. Then the response email was definitely fishy, so reported it. Hope I am ok with them having my email. No adverse activity I'm aware of yet and it was a few weeks ago.....

These sad people as so annoying.....

the only whale i saw was my missus getting out of bed...
::) ::) ::) I bet you think your wife looks at you when you get out of bed and says to herself 'gosh, look at that lovely toned, fit body, it's perfect, just like a Greek Adonis'............well, think on  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Brilliant Julie,  like your analolgy re.  whales. I'm sure my wife thinks she is with a  Greek adonis every time we get under the duvet..... not..

Matlock Bath?  Could at least called to say hello in Bakewell 8 miles up the road.....

SOHC cut away engine?

Sorry Tim - I gave it to Sammy Miller.

Steve

Knew I had seen something on the site Steve. Any others out there chaps or idle retired engineers fancying a challenge! Seriously maybe  just a SOHC head, old Brit pushrod job and a nasty modern DOHC version to show their relative efficiency?

Yes Paul why not? Perhaps we could get some mods in for a rumble too ;D.

Hi,

Just to keep all informed I have received the tickets for this event. Based on the numbers indicating initial interest I went for 15, however I indicated this could change either way (hopefully upwards).

Just looked through the post and those listed below are named and shamed as showing interest.

John Webley, Chris440F, Pops400, Laverda 120, Nurse Julie, Trigger, Clive, Paulbaker1954, Yozza74, Green1 (x 2), Onethumb, Mr Davo, Hondaarc166, Rozabikes (me)

Please underline this in your diaries (2nd July) and let me know if you cannot make it. ALSO MORE TAKERS WELCOME but let me know re freebee tickets (only if on a bike).

I know I am just acting as a contact point for the forum but can I suggest we have some brainstorming as to how we "exibit ourselves"  :P.  Shall we just keep the format simple trestle table surrounded by shiny Hondas. Any interesting Honda artifacts / literature. SOHC cut away engine? Ideas chaps please!

Tim

Doesn't sound feasible.   Everything's going to move out of alignment while you're trying to something fiddly.  I make ring compressers from drinks cans, held in place with cable ties.

What about the yogurt pots and double sided sticky tape Val?

Welcome.

Lovely bike, like the 400/4 the scale against the larger 4's is what appeals to me. Such superb engineering. Possibly more so with the pipe detail too. Cherish it mate.

That is so sad. Never met the bloke but Ash is one of the people you make this forum and seems a top bloke. Who ever has upset him does want outing and must be a very small person to do such an apparently spiteful thing.

If you read this come on back Ash we need you!

February?

Just having a late lunch outside in lovely sun in Normandie. No need for jumper, just fab.....  Only downside is we are just about to drive back to the UK.  Not trying to wind anybody up as very similar weather here to UK normally, so this is rare! Just lovely but need a bike out here too!
