Yup, but do not take out the insurance till you are ready to go as frame number insurance is time limited.
It is my understanding that you need the mot for first registration but not afterwards

WHOOPEE, just got back from echo and had angio(with a stent) this morning just waiting for get out of jail free card and then i start the work to get licence back.

Thank you to you all for the kind comments. Just had echo cardiogram cancelled as an "urgent" case came in, still awaiting angiogram
