Not sure where the peening is - is it just the bits at the side of the four holes?
I'll give it some petrol wash in the morning.
I'm guessing it's a different size tool to my 400.

If its been out before, and it probably has, it may well not have been re peened Ted, DONT be tempted to locktite it on reassembly, some poor bugger may have to take it out again!

In my opinion the retainer doesn't need any securing at all - and certainly not peening - unless you have plans to ride your bike in reverse. ;)
