brake bleed screw size?

Hi all, I have just got a new bleed screw for my 500 front caliper and it is 7mm? it seems that this is `standard`? mine takes a 6mm. did honda make two different sizes of bleed screws?

7mm is the standard size on 500/4. That's the only size I know of as standard, the 750/4's use 10mm.

I've known owners to helicoil a knackered thread and fit an insert down to 6mm as that was the size bleed nipple they had laying about at the time🙄🙄🙄.
The 350/400/500/550 all use the 7mm.

From what I can see, its standard??? thank you for your replies, guess someone has messed around with it at some time in its life

the best option for repair I have seen is a stainless steel banjo bolt with bleed nipple in the top.  (You leave the old broken nipple in place) I have this arrangement on mine and it seems to make bleeding easier.  It's been there for 30 years through rain, shine and salt and still works perfectly.

problem kinda solved... Filed the top of the bleed screw hole and yes, someone had put in a helicoil and also damaged the hole for the bleed nipple to work, solution throw it away and buy a replacement... thank you all for your help

Look at mmatti on amazon, you get complete thing with pads and mounting bracket for what i think is a reasonable price
