Tacho cable clamp
« on: August 12, 2021, 04:34:37 AM »
Determined to replace the missing bits on my bike I notice I do not have a Tacho cable clamp, before I go out of my way to get one, does anyone know where it actually goes? Exploded diagrams are not helpful!  ;D

I'm sure they don't have them fitted as standard on the 400/4. 500/550 yes, but not the 400.
Edit.. It may depend on which of the 2 options of horn fitted. CMSNL don't show it for the F2, Yamiya do show it but not specifically for the F2. The horn that does have it, the part number has been superseded to a 500 part number.

The one listed in the parts manual is 22872-356-000 I don't have that one either  as my Horn was missing.
The 500/550 looks a better design - no doubt expensive.

Cable Guide 50462-300-010 on the DS site - for front facing horns only presumably - not daft money either at £8.04

I have this parts list. The quality is not great but it shows the different horn and clip arrangements along with the country code. Not sure whether I can upload but will give it a try.

For some reason if you try to paste / copy a page you end up with the full manual as in your case - weird or what.

You can split the document into pages using PDFSAM (it's free to download) or if you want a partial page just use Snipping Tool.
