Yamiya Exhausts
« on: June 18, 2015, 02:53:20 PM »
After telling me they had no plans to reproduce orginal pipes on Facebook recently.
Now look  :o

DOWNPIPES

SILENCER

If they are anything like the 750 no. no.  pipes going to be high quality I reckon.

Send DSS a message via FB to see if he is stocking them .

Strange yes but two years ago DK told me they would never import CB350 twins in any significant numbers. Now they import shed loads of CB's & CL's

They do look good quality.  I wonder how much P&P is.
Where's that 10mm socket got to?

Ask David at Saisei for a quote . He's always very reasonable on prices and an official Yamiya agent for Europe. The re-manufacture and  supply of these has got to be a milestone in the history of the 400/4 IMHO.

Well nobody's chipped in with a landed price to the UK inc. VAT
So here is the simplistic Ashimoto estimate.

If they do end up being decent quality inc double skinned headers then  eat your heart out the likes of bikepusher  on eBay with their 'Worth 1500GBP 'all day long' asking prices for NOS systems.

750K0 No.No. Yamiya exhausts 165000 Yen= 1338 GBP inc landed in UK
400/4 Downpipes Yamiya 52000 Yen  converts to 52/165 x 1338 = 421 GBP
400/4 Silencer Yamiya 28000 Yen convert to 28/165 x 1338 = 227 GBP

Downpipes & silencer = 648 GBP

Well sod that, when are they going to do a system for the 500-4?

Don't forget it was only a few weeks ago I asked Yamiya if they indented doing the 400/4 ones and they said no. Bet they have access to the supplier who last sold genuine 500/4 pipes to Honda.

BTW the guy who cleared out 'Queenies' said he found a no.no. original 750 pipe tucked under a radiator. That place must have been an amazing place. Only ever saw the sales counter...friendly bunch though, as I remember.

Well done on the maths Ash, hopefully you wont be too far off. I have asked Yamiya for a quote this morning, including clamps.
One thing to factor in is the shipping method from Japan. If there is enough interest and people are prepared to wait I can book a part container load by sea. This usually works out 1/3 to 1/2 the price of air freight. Anyone who is seriously interested please PM me as soon as possible.

BTW I still have one CB750K0 set remaining if anyone is interested, it is unlikely i will be ordering more for a while.

It was only a simplistic calculation  David. I am sure whatever price you come up with,  you will giving us the best deal anyway, particularly over your namesake  :D
Can you ask Yamiya if the headers are double-skinned please and also if they have any plans for CB500F pipes ( I believe originally HM323, as some members need them).

Keep up the good work and I hope everyone here is going to support you !

I have the quote back from Yamiya. For the headers and silencer only by air from Japan (3-4 days), I can do £675 + VAT (£810 inc VAT). Some saving can be made by placing a shipping order, but i need to know how many genuine buyers there are before i can determine if this is worthwhile or not. I will come back shortly on the double skinned question.

Dave
