No, I was looking for the end caps that go in the swinging arm, Bill Benton sent me a shed load as a Xmas gift. Ash has some even rarer exhaust collets me thinks.

These things are getting rarer the more I want em...
The quantities of my spares has no pattern I have 10 exhaust clamps too?
Cheers though.
A Couple of questions
Would a k0 have the plastic front disc shield at the rear of the Lhs fork leg on it or was that just on the later models
And should I have a cable retaining stay on the side of the horn?

Tonight I popped the  carbs on and found the best front brake parts I have....popped the piston out and dry fired the parts on
Pipes should be here any day...and I dropped the k0 seat base and cover into my dads old mate who is a trimmer to swap an old later foam into it...
So hopefully this time next week it may look like a bike again.
I have the loom and the correct switch gear I just haven't fitted them yet ....and may not for now..I don't think it will do it any favours being put on and off...
Engine finish looks surprisingly good
Sorry pictures are all similar but they are showing abit of progress ...

Another shot I just can't get the full bike in from any other angle
Pipes  fitted...well mocked up
I need LHS brackets.although it was touch and go...the ones I had must of been run over by a steam roller they both laid flat on the bench..I couldn't tell what side they were from...
Are they the same as opposite side or completely different ?
I reckon I could copy them but would struggle if they were much different.
I Just cut some ally bar to hold left side in place...
These pipes really make these bikes
Oh yeah anyone got a good RHS top pipe.  SR
The one on this set has had a repair...I did know that and it doesn't bother me in the slightest as it seems right at the moment with the oily rag look but if that changes a better one would need to be sourced..

I fitted switches today Im pretty sure I have the correct ones fitted
I do have another pair but I think they are for the later models
LHS has horn stamped on it and RHS the switch order on lights is in a different order

RH side switch is correct UK one and because of the way its laid out a lot of people fit the circular lights on/off switch on the L/H side so you don't plunge into darkness when going from main to dip.
The L/H switch is the superseded part from the just horn switch so for a useable bike is perfectly OK but if you want a show bike you need the early one

It wouldn't be a 70's bike if you weren't plunged into darkness unexpectedly
The same goes for my guzzi it wouldn't be Italian if I didn't press the horn instead of the indicator switch causing rude hand gestures on more than one occasion  ;D

+ one with Bryan, mine had the same switches.

This is the cheapest I have ever found, I bought a second hand set from Germany and still had to tweet them to fit as they were out of shape >>>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-KIT-STAFFE-MARMITTE-CB500-K0-K1-K2-/311587714904?

I see now  ;) If you push the button on the switch on the bike does it go in ? The original would of had just a round button for the horn and no PA. As Bryan said, it was superseded .

The original would of looked like this >>>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1973-Honda-CB500-Four-K2-LHS-Left-Side-Switch-Gear-Winker-/252358935924?hash=item3ac1c3c574:g:ligAAOSw~oFXE8v7

Yup it's a horn/pass button pushes in and slides right...
So I now need the same switch but just a round horn button.......I bet there easy to find
