Usually just put a long bar in the centre that is smaller diameter than the spindle and tap it till the spacer moves sideways and then beat sheeite out of the centre race as you are changing the bearing onyroad

If it wasn't for the accent I would of sworn that was in India or Cuba.

Just been toying with the seat logo Silver or Gold

I decided to try silver which was fine, but still hankering "it should be gold"

I found some gold leaf spray, but obviously too late as I had used stencil.
Nothing to loose and time to spare -so I decided to hand paint over silver.
Gold Colour looks fine and with just a bit of detailing to do around the edges and I should be happy

Just tried sending a Tyre Info decal to Piki but file is too big

I just can't seem to get the hang of the pm option I click on it and send but it never shows in my sent box.

I had the same problem, but worked out what it was.
Select 'Profile' from the choices across the top of the page ('Home', 'Forum', ....).
Select 'Modify Profile' then from the list select 'Personal Messaging'.
Near the bottom is option 'Save a copy of each personal message in my sent items by default'. Tick the check box. Select 'Change Profile' (bottom right' to save changes.
That should do it.

Before I start the next part, I thought i should ask for advice before doing it the hard way.

I am looking to change the head bearings as mine are about shot. The existing are original bearings and carriers.

I am thinking of replacing with tapered roller bearings, obviously take all old carriers and bearings out.
The question is:

Do I need any special tools to remove / replace the bearings?
Has anyone come across any problems/issues I should be aware of?

Just seen this on youtube and with the exception of metal on metal looks to have some good tips

The ones you take out will be binned anyway so just beat them out with a long drift and hammer but do it evenly all the way round

These are the instructions that came with my bearings, easy enough as long as Bryan says you keep everything level.

Love that final fitting instruction "double check all work".
Don't you always do that?
