You can't be too careful on a step thru Honda.
Fallen off quite a few times but my only real accident 22 years ago. Not my fault I hasten to add and I received a good deal of compensation. Bought a CB500 with some of it. Even then Bryanj was sorting problems and answering questions on the net.

I think the 90 was the first motorcycle that I rode. My older brother had one and I borrowed it 😳 I set off and managed to return it in one piece. Don’t think he ever found out, neither did the local plod, I was 14. I’m not sure the correct colour description but I have seen it referred to as light copper metallic.

My Dad had a C50 he used for commuting to work, a red one. If my knackered old Bantam was off the road - again - I could borrow it when he didn't need it. I used it to go and see my girlfriend and used to wring it's neck to get some speed out of it. It never broke, the engine was unburstable!

I did take my girlfriend out for a ride on it once. Very embarrassing when it wouldn't get up a hill 2up and she had to get off!

I was out for a test drive back in the 1970's with a lovely couple who lived on a very steep section of Henhurst Hill in BoT.
They were both what we termed back then as fat, they wanted to show the Mother-in-Law the used car. It was an NSU Prinz an air cooled 2 cylinder model. It would not go up the hill with the three of us in it, when one of the passengers got out it made it to their house. To my surprise they bought it!

Sorry no photos but I had quite an interesting ride into central London. On the Victoria Embankment I was just in the right place to tag on behind King Charles and his motorcade, great for getting through the traffic, that lasted about a mile. I got to Parliament square where there was a whole gaggle of protest marches going on, partly because of the Chancellors spring statement. That garlic f*rting  Steve Bray was there as usual with his daft top hat and die hard followers. We know each other , boy he HATES me  ;D and with the static traffic we had plenty of time to trade insults! ;D

I had a very nice run out to the west mainland to the Brough of Birsay where the tide quite quickly floods and submerges the pathway, there’s nearly always someone that has to get the socks and shoes off to get back to safety.
Also nice visit to see a fellow SOHC member Ian.
